Vale MS804

Jeff Burzacott May 21, 2016

"May your spirit live, may you spend millions of years, you who love Thebes, sitting with your face to the north wind, your eyes beholding happiness." (from the "Wishing Cup" of Tutankhamun)

What heartbreaking news this week of the 66 souls lost over the Mediterranean.

And it's a sad fact that many people around the world will probably be seeing the EgyptAir Horus logo for the first time in connection with this tragedy.

The EgyptAir Horus, emblazoned proudly on the fuselage and tail of their planes, is a modern vision of the "Lord of the Sky", who was an important royal symbol from the dawn of history.

Our thoughts and hearts are with the families of those on board MS804, with these words from Maya Angelou: “No sun outlasts its sunset, but will rise again, and bring the dawn.”
